What if I live outside the County or State where the divorce is filed?

If you can't find a similar approved parent education program in your area, we offer the Parenting and Divorce class for home study by mail.

Can my significant other attend the class?

Yes! In fact, Significant Others, GrandParents and Step-Parents are encouraged to attend because they may directly or indirectly affect decisions involving the child. For this reason they need to be reminded to keep the child's best interest in mind.

I don't want to take the parenting class, may I skip it?

The judge is the only person who may excuse you from the Parenting and Divorce class because it is a court ordered class.

Can I bring my children?

Sorry but NO children. No exceptions.

How long is the Parenting and Divorce class?

The courts require a four hour Parenting and Divorce class by mandate.

May I attend the class with my spouse?

Attending the class with your spouse depends on the County in which you will be attending. In some Counties, couples may attend together if both parties agree and there is not an injunction of protection. In other Counties, couples may not attend the same class at the same time. Information for your particular county can be found by following the Classes link to the left of this page.
